This is not a review of the Samsung s21+. This is regarding the £150 Google voucher promotion. The fact that even though I checked the promotion details on the Amazon order screen, it turns out really was expected to read every last word of the terms and conditions. Samsung have advised as I bought from a third party seller on Amazon I am not eligible. I am not sure if Amazon are at fault for displaying the advert, or Samsung for not making sure the advert for the promotion clearly state it is only if bought directly from Amazon. Either way I don't get the £150 voucher due to a billion dollar company either showing an advert when it shouldn't, or a company not making the real details obvious. Not a happy customer.
My wife has been complaining about battery life on her old S8+ She asked me to keep an eye out for a second hand phone at a decent price with a battery replacement, or to fit a new battery myself.
Since I was feeling a bit lazy, I opted to get her a brand new S21+ as the prices for modernish decent quality (not badly repaired) 2nd hand phones is pretty high at the moment. The price difference really wasn't that much.
She couldn't be happier... the phone is so responsive (even though she said she didn't need anything faster than the S8+) and the photo quality is amazing by comparison. Battery life is also pretty good. Sadly, we haven't been able to try the 5G yet as we haven't been anywhere with 5G coverage during lockdown.
I am disappointed. I am now disgusted, see below. The phone has started randomly stopping and rebooting, it's only a month old. I have "contacted" the supplier and got no response at all. I will now have to claim back the money on my credit card. I have waited to give them a chance to help me.
I have spent 2 months submitting error reports and waiting for some useful response. Today they say they can't fix it. Even though their own error logging tool says the phone stopped incorrectly. This is a brand new phone with no added apps or software, apart from their own error reporting tool.
They are refusing to repair, replace or refund. I will shortly start a charge back process through my credit company.
Would have been 5 stars however phone was a gift and not the best thing to open the phone without the initial set up and already set up since it was tested and also in a different language. For future after any testing or QC checks are done. Please factory reset the devices so it goes through initial setup.
I was skeptical at 1st but the seller was quick to respond and the phone has tonnes of memory, loads of functions and the quickness is amazing. After spending months contemplating on what phone to buy this was priced well and is great device, especially to connect to a house full of gadgets and devices. Battery life is amazing.
1. Phone is as is. No concerns from the phone perspective. 2. Prompt delivery and earlier that expected. 3. Samsung cashback promotion advertised by seller on advert when they don't qualify for it. 4. Contacted seller about it, politely, and received a blunt response back.
Very happy with the phone. Customer service is lacking.
