Generally the sound bar delivers good quality sound. However on certain programs the sound volume fades with time. If I pause the program and re-start it the volume immediately comes back to the original level. Why? Does anyone else have this problem?
I had a Vizio that just stopped working one day. Thought I’d go a step above and get this Samsung. Easy to install, sound is solid, but the sound control is terrible. The remote has a sound and woofer separate controls and different options for “smart” sound, “gaming” etc, but they don’t work for anything.
We are constantly holding the remote in our hands all night since we have kids (upstairs and don’t wake up easily, it gets that loud randomly) and end up putting subtitles on most of the time, defeating the whole purpose). Wish we would have stuck with this Vizio, and will end up buying another Vizio soon. Not worth the price, at all VIZIO 2.1 Sound Bar SB3621n-F8M with Wireless Subwoofer Bluetooth 100dB SPL DTS Vi... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BTRMBYS/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_c_api_i_ug7cFb4CPRF8C
The product works okay for a cheap sound bar, but you’re getting what you pay for. The low-pass filter must not be very robust because on songs with heavy bass, one of the drivers/tweeters clips really badly, even at low volume.
I thought it was just a defective model so I returned it and was disappointed to find out that the second one suffered from the same problem.
In addition to those issues, neither I (who has an iPhone XS Max) or my wife (who has an iPhone XR) could connect our phones to the Bluetooth function advertised by the speaker. I am very technologically proficient and after googling things for 30 min and talking with customer service for 20 min, it was determined that the function simply didn’t work. Unfortunately, it worked on neither model I purchased.
The sound qualify for gaming, TV, and movies is as good as you can get for a soundbar in this price range, but it is subpar at playing music and the fact that neither model I purchased was able to connect to any device via Bluetooth was extremely disappointing.
Bluetooth connectivity is a problem. I have to re-pair the device to a Samsung TV every time I turn on the TV. Adding insult to injury, it takes numerous attempts to get the device to connect. Or I have to unplug the device from outlet, wait, plug back in and re-pair to TV. In addition, every once in awhile a piercing sound comes out over the soundbar which forces me to shut it down....Extremely frustrating. After chatting with Samsung support they told me to perform a reset on the TV to factory settings. It worked temporarily and now we are back to connectivity issues.
Samsung TV's are wonderful products.....but this soundbar isn't worth purchasing....
I had a sound bar I liked. But couldn't get a remote for it. So I bought this one. It sounded tinny. Then the kicker. There is not a SINGLE button on the remote that will change the volume. I can change the input, but none of the buttons impact volume. So I went from a good sound bar that had no remote to an overpriced under performing sound bar with an ineffective remote.
Were that it gave out no sound instead of the cacophony of dented tin that it does provide so I could give it a totally well earned one star review.
The installation process was very easy, but we are constantly having problems with the volume settings, especially when we try to watch a movie. Occasionally it will happen to turn onto the right settings and we know the speaker quality is amazing but unfortunately we haven’t been able to enjoy it very often because it’s always self changing the settings. It also gives us a very hard time when we want to connect our phone to our tv via Bluetooth even though we chose to hardwire the speakers input to the tv. So overall I can tell that it has potential but it’s not reliable in any way.
First the good: It was easy to set-up with a Samsung TV and had good sound and bass.
The bad: I returned two of these soundbars. The first failed to keep the WiFi connection with the TV, would lose all of the sound settings when turned off and on again. The second one could not connect with the Samsung TV remote control for volume and on/off. The soundbar looks flimsy, with a thin cloth cover over the entire bar. Spent a little more for a better sound bar and am happy with that.
We own an older HWF450/ZA and AH68-02444C subwoofer that I purchased about 6 years ago for about $129. I turn it up to 35 (peak volume level is 50) and its pretty loud. I can turn the T450 up to 100 (its peak level) and the mids and highs are super weak in comparison.
When Im watching action movies or listening to music I have become accustom to the mids and highs punching through with the older configuration. I don't understand how the T450 has an amplifier with 10 more W than the older configuration but not as loud. Unless they are using cheaper components in the newer builds. I dont know...Weird
The unit has okay sound that is definitely better than the Samsung LED television that I own. My biggest problem with the unit is that it keeps disconnecting from the tv and will not reconnect without me first unplugging it and plugging it back in. It has gotten to the point that it is just not worth the hassle, so now I don't use it and it is just a decoration on my wall. I am also not a big fan of Samsung remote controls for a number of reasons (I have two, one for the tv and one for the soundbar). I would not recommend this unit, unless you want to constantly have to deal with it disconnecting (bluetooth).
Just bought SAMSUNG UN55TU7000FXZA 55 inch 4K Ultra HD Smart LED TV 2020 and this sound bar to go with it. Ordered the TV first. TV working great for 6 days. Sound bar arrived. Hooked up the sound bar. Put the subwoofer on the floor. It's next to the TV but the TV is high up on a stand so It's not directly next to it. The next day: weird crazy colors all over the TV screen, couldn't even tell what the picture was supposed to be. Turned off the TV by remote. Tried to turn the TV back on. Just a black screen. (No sound either). Spent hours researching on a possible fix. Unplugged the sound bar. Still no picture. Could the sound bar or subwoofer speaker have damaged the TV? I have someone coming out to look at it in 2 weeks....ugh.....While it was working, the TV was great and the sound was great too! Sure didn't last long....
