Thought it was very good but very short. Would have been disappointed if I had paid for it in paperback. But seeing as it was free on the kindle. Great ideas to think about just wish there was more to it!
This book in certain ways is set up like her previous book Girl Code filled with advice from a female who is an entrepreneur in many ways. She talks a lot about her story, give various helpful business suggestions especially for those people wanting to start a business, and at the end of each chapter has questions for the reader to answer. How it's not like the first book is the fact that she doesn't interview any female entrepreneurs, but just focuses on her own story, offers helpful suggestions, and encouraging journaling. She did mentioned powerful influential women both in the past and now. This book is also a book to encourage women who have low self-esteem especially regarding having there own business.
After reading it I decided that I would send it to a former client of mine who has her own business, plus the book before it Girl Code.I however didn't get much out of the book maybe because I don't have a low self-esteem regarding having my own business and have been a business owner for years.I did enjoy the book Girl Code however because of the different interviews Cara did.
This book as well as the previous book are good books if you are wanting to start a business and needs some helpful suggestions, and powerful encouraging words to get you going and you don't mind journaling here and there.I highly reccommed before reading Girl On Fire read Girl Code first because in Girl On Fire she makes reference to Girl Code often.
I liked the points she made and the practical tips and journaling ideas at the end of each chapter but I felt like the author spent too much time telling her own story and how blessed she has been instead of inspiring others on how to get there. She has worked hard to get where she is but I would rather read a personal development book to help me reach success instead of reading a whole book about the author telling me how successful she is.
