It's a Wolfenstein game. It's arcadish with rpg like elements. It's not a full priced game, which is a bonus. But for half the price of a full priced game, it's not a bad break away from the latter while wait for the fall season of gaming. Plus if you get deluxe your buddies can play with you simply by downloading the trail. It's a win for me. But I'm different than most.
Decent game, for what it is. This is a co-op shooter, not a solo FPS. The game play is good, but a bit repetitive. The micro-transactions aren't as bad as they were made out to be. The story is decent. I hear a lot of comments saying "the dialog sounds like 45 year-olds trying to be teenagers". Keep in mind however, this takes place in about 1981. So, the protags would be about 54 now.
Once I got used to the gameplay style (and the inability to save my state like earlier versions), I really got into this game. What irks me is the lockups and getting into places that forced me to reboot the game. These are infrequent, but still a PIA.
I'm not sure why everything is moving towards online play. Additionally, there's no firm storyline, so you can just get lost doing side missions and only those. What happened to straightforward video games?
