A serious critique on a big fan of the series, beware of spoilers for previous games

Story: I have yet to complete this game yet so take this at what you will. Honestly, i wasn't a big fan of this one. I've played not only the originals but all three of the newer ones. I mean the remakes like the new collousus, new order, as well as old blood. I enjoyed all of them. But this new one, it just doesn't feel right. I don't know if it's just because Blazco is not the main character for this one or what but it just feels wrong. The twins don't feel real in a way, like usual banter between siblings is a lot like some emotional support, and a lot of bickering on the side. Sure people are not all like this but the sisters literally give more emotional support throughout the game than an AA meeting, it's almost ridiculous. Also each game set you up by giving a kind of background to help you understand the situation. In the new order you were introduced to Fergus and Wyatt, you got character background and development right off the bat, then BAM look at this now you have to choose between the two of them, and your choice matters throughout the game, changing a lot, and getting you ready for the action, it swiftly and smoothly introduces you to the plot as well as introduces you to the main villain, two birds with one stone. The new collosus introduced the main enemy, gave you a reason to hate them, and then settled you into a unique and awesome story, ending with an awesome ending, which I had hoped would continue with (spoilers) them leading the revolution in america to take it back from Nazis. Now here's youngblood, we are introduced to the twins right off the bat, after the revolution is over (at least i think it is, might have to double check) suddenly America is free, the twins are grilled by each family member on survival skills and marksmanship. 5 mins later, blazco is missing, the girls steal a helicopter, suddenly get armor that was used by blazco in the previous title, they kill a Nazi, then BAM you're in. No Story, no what's going on, nothing, not even a hint of their father leaving or talking, he's just suddenly gone. The main character is replaced with his two daughters, both happy and bubbly but a whole lot different from the serious and silent but deadly tone the previous character had.
Combat: the previous games made you feel awesome as well as a word that I'd rather not say. It was intense, raw, and unchained, like a guy who truly hates his enemy and wants nothing more than to be rid of them. The combat system in this one's kind of a joke. Sure it kept what the others had in allowing multiple weapons, and being allowed to dual wield (granted you have to earn points to unlock the skill). However they introduced a new system, certain guns work better on certain enemy's. A lot of the enemy's now have armor that can only be damaged by a specific bullet/weapon, however i still have yet to understand how this system works, I've used all guns i presently had on one enemy yet his damage did not change at all.
Progression: the previous titles did something that i loved, they gave you a challenge to complete and upon completion you get a permanent bonus, it was awesome and a lot of fun to try to get these bonuses. The second doing it as well. However the new blood make an rpg like system that focuses on levels. So you unlock perks through just shooting things and hoping you level up and get a point. Also every enemy now has a level as well. Adding difficulty to a mere grunt is just stupid.
Pros: they introduced a new system, at the beginning of the game you can choose between two abilities, you can go invisible, or you can do a huge dash that cripple enemies, and unlock certain unreachable areas. You can unlock the other ability pretty easy so no need to Fret. There is a third ability which I had to look up. It seems like a pretty cool ability that allows you to blow open doors and blast enemies to bits, but you can only get that in the last mission which kinda sucks but your stuff saves for round 2. This third ability allows you to unlock and get access to endgame content for the game, adding more content to play.
Extra stuff you should know: they added cosmetic microtransactions
This game is heavily co-op based, play it with a friend, it was meant to be and the single player experience kinda sucked.
You cannot pause the game, even if you are offline and playing single player, much like dark souls, the menu is there, but the action still happens.
