The first thing I noticed was the weight, it is the lightest controller I've ever used.. but not in a good way. It feels cheap, the buttons feel and sound cheap and overall just feels like an unpolished product.
It pairs easy enough and works as it should but I just can't help feeling this is worth half the price it's sold for. I actually regret buying it and not paying a little extra for the pro controller.
Also, not sure if its me but I cannot for the life of me get this working in multi player.
After 6 months of use the product started draining batteries at an alarming rate. Different types of batteries were used, and most recently they last for only a couple of hours of playing before the controller disconnects. Since it's over Amazon's 30 day return policy, I cannot receive a refund so buyer beware.
I ordered this item as "Refurbished", which I mistakenly interpreted as "it was repaired and now works properly". It did not work properly.
Immediately out of the box, I noticed that the controller had a nasty coating of hand grime and a bit of hair stuck to it, as though it had not been cleaned (let alone repaired) since its previous owner sent it back.
Plugging it in and playing was even more disappointing-- the left stick had such a horrific amount of drifting that it was entirely unusable, even in the main menu of the console (since it sent an endless amount of phantom "Down" inputs). It wasn't even a calibration issue, like if the neutral position were being interpreted as "Down" or something-- no, the neutral position literally corresponded to wild downward "jittering" inputs instead, as though the ghost of its previous owner was furiously flicking the left stick downward several times per second or something.
Disclaimer: I've had this product for the past 2 years, and most of this time was spent in its original box after I realized on day 1 that it did not work. (I didn't know how to leave a review on Amazon at that point, so I stored the item away and simply forgot about it until I noticed the "Write a review" button for the first time today.)
I'm not hoping or expecting to get a refund after all this time or anything, but I just wanted to leave a fair warning for anyone reading this who was feeling brave enough to buy this controller used/refurbished. I'm sure this controller is excellent in mint condition, but buying it used/refurbished may not be worth the risk.
I bought this controller for playing Smash Ultimate when friends come over. I always use my standard Switch Pro controller for single player but I bought this controller for more players. After less than 8 hours of use, the left joystick began drifting pretty bad. I recalibrated the controller and cleaned the joystick, but no luck. Would not recommend buying, spend a little bit more for an official Nintendo controller.
I bought this with the last money I had left, it got controller drift 2 days after I got it. It was broken, and so was my heart. I think that powerA should give everyone who bought this a full refund for the garbage this piece of poopy it is. I #HATETHISPIECEOFGARBAGETHATMYLASTCASHMONEYON. I beat it with a sledgehammer so I’d never see it again because it broke my heart. Tbh better as firewood
