Neutral *Sin comentarios neutrales
I bought this thinking it would be kinda of wii sports, or something where you actually get to do movements ext but you cant. you litterally just sit there and press a button . the games go by so fast, like 60 seconds per game. no rounds. no 1st player. its a good idea for a game but its just a mess. But for $30 cant be too mad. Glad I didnt pay $80.
My son loves skeeball and bowling, unfortunately both of these games need to be unlocked by playing more of the mundane games the collect tickets (in game currency) to purchase said games. Needless to say, my son doesn't want to play and now his 31 year old father has been playing home run derby non-stop in an attempt to unlock the games he wants to play... Now, I don't really mind this to much as I am a gamer and well, home run derby is pretty sweet, however 2k should have really had an option allowing parents to just simply unlock games so your kid can just play what they want to play without the hassle of going through hours of H.R.D.
Regardless, I can see this game being a 4 star game ONCE the games are unlocked, its a shame that so far no games make use of the built in technology like Wii Bowling... this is more just press the x button and move the joystick... simple enough for kids, but hey, rolling your wrist forwards or backwards isn't exactly "complex"....
Parents, be prepared for some home run derby to unlock the games your children actually want to play. Dads, man your 6pack, there will be some long innings.
The original version of this game used motion technology that mimicked the movement of throwing darts, ring toss, etc. This is just plain button pushes with no motion involved. To me that kills the fun of this game. To hit a button to throw a basketball is much less engaging than moving your hand in a basketball motion. Bottom line- this game is about as fun as a touch screen app on your phone and becomes old almost instantly.
The controls were a bit weird. 6 year old was upset that you can only start with 2 games and the rest take a while to unlock. Maybe it gets better but he lost interest too quickly to find out and mom and dad followed shortly after. I think it may be enjoyable for someone who is looking for traditional wii style game play as a novelty.
You start out with a handful of games and have to continuously play them to earn tickets to unlock the other games. The games you start out with aren't much fun either and only earn you 5-20 tickets each round. Most of the games charged at least a hundred to unlock.
Randomly there was a deal that all games could be unlocked for only 25 tickets so I ended up unlocking them pretty quickly but they all get boring pretty fast. Maybe it would help if the graphics were halfway decent?
