This game is entertaining, but not quite what I was hoping for. You just haul logs down muddy roads from the log station to the mill. Even after playing it for awhile, the controls seem a little clumsy. I'm not saying it's a bad game, it just needs a little refining and I would say that it isn't worth more than $20 or so.
After a few updates, this game has improved some. The camera views are better and an extra map has been added.
I've spent hours on this one. a much needed change of pace from the majority of the other stuff coming out. It's like a puzzle game to get your vehicles from point A to B through mud, rivers, and trees so you have to take your time. I just wish there were more maps and vehicles. And maybe some AI vehicles randomly driving around.
I understand that this is an off road simulator and not focused on vehicle dynamics but more of physics. The game gets it right but the only 3 problems I have with it. 1-camera angles SUCK. There is no default angle, it changes as you move. 99% of the time the camera goes up close to the side of the truck and I end up hitting something. Wish it was set up more like GTA V where he default angle is from the rear and front/side views can be quickly accessed.
2-the trucks have no power. You can never mud bog, if you're stuck your probably stuck. Can't power your way thru it like in real life. It doesn't pick up speed on hard surfaces either which make getting to log stations a major pain.
3-the steering doesn't auto center. Hard to drive on solid surfaces.
I wish there was just a free roam mode where there isn't a fuel/damage limit. So far I like it.
