The frame rate of the game was far lower than the precious two making everything move slower at times but the game itself as well as the areas are very well done and if you’re thinking of getting it it’s well worth it
Someone told me the difficulty of this game is comparable to the Monster Hunter games. They forgot to state that it was as difficult as Monster Hunter if you started the game at G-rank. My gosh I get killed a lot! The world of Lothric is macabre, dark, and mournful. The atmosphere is eerie and haunting. I'd give it 5 stars, but in all honesty, I tend to be a sore loser and the difficulty can really get my blood pressure up at times.
As one would come to expect from the Souls series, DS3 is a challenging game that will test your patience, but will reward you with one of the most challenging and truly rewarding experiences in gaming. At first, I didn't think I could get into this series (having quit DS1 after only 4 hours of game play a few years back), but this time I was determined to give this series a fair shot. I'm glad I did. You can read / watch many reviews out there that will explain the game in detail. What I am here to tell you is the big differences between the Xbox One and PS4/PC versions. First, the most significant difference is the resolution. The game runs at 1080p/30 FPS on PS4, and 900p/30 FPS on Xbox one. Despite the 30% lower pixel count, the game looks good on Xbox due to great Anti Aliasing. Frame rates on both consoles drop the mid 20s at different points, but FPS drops are a bit more common on Xbox. In some areas the game feels as though its playing out in slow motion, that is the way that the game tries to compensate for the FPS drop. You will notice this when enemies transform/when you enter an area with a lot of enemies (cathedral cemetery). Shadow resolution also drop from the "High" PC preset on PS4, to "Medium" on Xbox, making for slightly more blocky shadows. PC is clearly going to be the superior version, but if you want the game on a console, both versions are perfectly playable, and both look great ... just be mindful of FPS drops on Xbox One. If you own the Xbox one X, these issues are probably addressed.
This game is so stupid hard if you wanna buy it i have a better idea go get a vise put your hand in it and crank down once an hour for as long as you were going to play this f-n thing the dirty bastards at namco call a game. Its more like a torturous slugfest from which will come agnoizing waking nightmares about how you got smashed mercilessly by indescribable monstrosities over and over until you give up.
