I cannot get this throttle quadrant to work. Every time I plug it into a USB (not the blue one) it crashes my system. Logitech doesn't support this over the phone so waiting on an email response before I return for a refund.
I use these to fly a 737 in X-Plane. I bought them only to last until a better product comes out this year. They were defective out of the box. One throttle moves or fails to move with the other throttle when the plane is flying on auto-pilot. On the ground, one engine goes into reverse at idle uncommanded. It happens EVERY time, despite contact cleaner and any available software adjustments like "throttle noise lock". People on the X-Plane forum agreed that it is a hardware problem. These throttles are cheap junk, and I knew that going in, but they couldn't even do temp work.
Bought this product a little over a week ago. When it arrived the throttles are very glitchy. On X-Plane 11.30 when power is set you are able to set the throttles of the aircraft have slight jumps. From other reviews and forums on how to fix this the potentionmeters that Saitek/Logitech use are very cheap and flimsy. I would definitely not buy this product ever again. For flight sims it is unusable. Since I already took it apart and voided the warranty I do not care about any help from the company. If you are planning on buying this product be warned, mine came out of the box in a manner that renders the product unusable. The materials used to make the throttle quadrant is cheap plastic and when you open the thing up the electronics are even cheaper.
Bought this a long time ago for my flight sim set up. Didn't really take long before this started being highly unstable and inaccurate. A slight move of a lever causes dramatic and shaky throttle inputs. Do not recommend for longevity.
You're way better off just spending 10X as much for all the trouble these are. Horrible, constant jitter, notoriously bad support, and cheap, flimsy construction. There's all kinds of resources online about cleaning them, but I'll warn you that disassembly without damaging them _just to get them to WORK LIKE THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO_ out-of-the-box is really difficult and time-consuming.
I recently purchase the logitech flight throttle quadrant and I've been having issues installing it. It appears my PC does not recognize the USB connection, and every time I installed the latest software driver it gives me that throttle quadrant it's not installed. I've tried many ways and I search it online and it seems I'm the only having this issues since I can't the solution to it.
Drivers and support are non existent for full functionality from Logitech. They simply don’t care. Don’t buy this. It will end in frustration sadness and tears. It’s totally useless without proper software and calibration.
I am editing a review that someone else posted in my name. Amazon buyer beware of faux five star reviews. Now to the item. After six months the stop on one of the levers stopped working. It would fall back all the way activating the switch at the bottom of the lever. Had to take it apart twice now following instructions on YouTube. Either Logitech dropped the ball on quality assurance after taking over, or Saitek never got it right in the first place. If you're after a quality throttle, look elsewhere.
