I’ve been using this product for years but this new jar I’ve just received smells nothing like the ones I’ve used before. The previous scent was a soft vanilla scent but now I’m smelling quite a strong alcohol mixed with vanilla scent. It’s very off putting. I’m not sure I’ll repurchase this in the future. I realise that it may just be a bad batch but I’d rather not risk it.
Didn't notice much difference in my (type 4b/c) hair with and without heat. Tried it in my daughters type 3c/a hair same disappointing results. However, my husband used it he has very very curly type 3a/3b thick hair....his hair was soft as butter! So the jury is out for this one.
I'm not too keen on the smell. It's not bad just not as fragrant as I would like so I added a couple of drops of essential oils to mask it. I prefer a masque with a bit more slip to it which this didn't quite have. It's an okay product though. You get a lot for your money which is more than I can say for some of its competitors so good for Aunt Jackies for not ripping us off.
Read the reviews so wanted to try. Problem: curly, dry, menopausal hair. Have only used three times: its creamy and smells ok.i expected it to melt my knots and tangles away and expected to be able to work through my hair easily and deliver the moisture it promises. This cream is difficult to work through my hair as it doesn’t detangle as I comb and my hair still feels dry. Maybe it takes time so will continue to use and update this review if changes.
I have thick, low porosity 3b - 4a hair and this stuff leaves my curls really juicy! The pot seems like it’ll go a long way - I’m not a pea size amount person, a good amount of product gets slapped on each section. This method of slapping on product will last about 6-8 washes I think, but longer if you’re less liberal with the application lol. I personally like the smell, it’s subtle and not ‘artificial’ smelling. Will be buying again!
I like what this product does for my hair and for the amount you get, it is fairly cheap, however, when used alongside other products it does go a bit bitty and look a bit curdled in you hair which isn't very nice so I would recommend using it in your hair before you put anything else in and only using a tiny amount, which makes the tub go further!
I have been using this product for the last couple of months and it has done wonders for my hair. It has helped me to regain moisture and curl definition after using hair dye. One thing I’m not keen on is the smell but that can be overlooked.
I was really hoping to like this but I'm afraid that it just didn't deliever. I followed the instructions, but once my hair dried, it was a bit frizzier and drier than usual. By the next day it had gone into a fragile and knotty mess :( Perhaps it's just not for me, but I will definitely try out other Aunt Jackies products because of how much I love the curl la la custard. If other Aunt Jackie's products have worked for, I suppose this one is worth a try.
My hair feels so soft after using this as a deep conditioning treatment. I've just cute my hair so I have a twa and this really helps to define my curls and makes it easier to work with. A little goes a long way so dnyfeel the need to dollop it on.
Fantastic product. I have naturally curly hair which has been bleached and toned to death. I could get a brush through my hair due to matting. Used this product for the first time today and could run my fingers through my wet hair even after rinsing out!!! I am so pleased! Smells beautiful too
