My buddy was enjoying the game immensely, thanks to the fluid combat moves and the fairly interesting storyline when the game shut the PS4 off after fighting one of the early bosses (Gh*%#). He'll try again but it doesn't look good.
The story is great. When I completed a certain quest, not only my fast travel is unavailable, but my save option is gone. I cannot save my progress anymore, unless I have to restart my game which I hope that it doesn’t happen, but if it does, I would be so unhappy.
Same kind issues as the original. During save it freezes. You’d think that after the PS3 version had this issue they would have fixed it in an update or worst case fix it before releasing a remastered edition on PS4. I guess this was a port and not an update. Instead of freezing the PS4 throws errors and the game crashes.
I played the original version when it came out and I also platinumed the Warmastered Edition of Darksiders 1. This version is incredibly disappointing. The frame rate suffers regularly, screen tearing is abundant, and elements to the dungeon puzzles disappear entirely and will not re-appear until you respawn yourself by dying intentionally. On multiple occasions I have lost audio layers or audio entirely until I close the game and re-launch it. I have played 20+ hours and continue to see issue through the whole game. After playing the Warmastered Edition of the first game running at 60fps with little to no issues, the Deathinitive Edition on PS4 is very disappointing.
Had this game for the xbox 360 thought it would be better not much there is alot of frame skipping. First I thought it was the TV so I dug out the 360 and no frame skipping. Not bad but not happy either
