This contains a nice selection of crosswords, word searches & anagram puzzles! The Word of The Day feature along with the Word Path and occasional quiz is fun. I would have gave this five stars, but the software often does not recognize my lovely handwriting. I often have to write a letter repeatedly. You can be alerted when you enter an incorrect entry with the crosswords. The small word searches are fun but the large word searches are hard to navigate, as you have to do too much scrolling and cannot see the entire grid at once. It is nice that the anagrams are done by shuffling the tiles around with the stylus, rather than having to write in any word. This item is an excellent value and has a nice variety of puzzles. You can't go wrong with Crosswords PLUS 3DS, for this price.
The puzzles on this game is fun and challenging but not too challenging. The only problems I had was that when I tried to put the number 6 in the square, it would give me trouble and I would have to keep trying to put the six in the square. The game has only so many puzzles in it.
I purchased this game because I'm a big fan of puzzle games, crosswords, word searches, you name it. This game has four different levels of difficulty (easy, normal, and two more I have yet to unlock), giant crossword puzzles that take ~1 hour to beat (3 total to my knowledge), a word of the day feature, unlockable features, and over 1,000 word puzzles to complete! You also have the capability of connecting with others via StreetPass, and there's a SpotPass functionality that allows downloading of new contact. I'm finding the game very addicting, and I think I'll bring it along when I travel in the car or by plane on vacation. I will admit that the game has some repetitive clues and answers within the easy mode, but overall I think it's very fun and entertaining for gamers of all ages. With a pretty decent price ($25 when I purchased it), I think it'll be a great game to buy for all sorts of family members that play the 3DS.
The game works perfectly and it's a pretty good little time waster, but it's not nearly as challenging as I thought it would be. The puzzles are ridiculously easy and the controls are tedious. You have to zoom in to write, zoom out just to move to the beginning box of the next clue instead of it automatically moving down when you finished the one you were on. It's not a bad game, but if you're a
I do like how well it recognizes my terrible handwriting. I was pretty impressed with that, but all in all, I'm glad I only spent a buck twenty-five on it.
If you like Crosswords, then boy does Nintendo have the game for you. Daily puzzles, mega-puzzles, and many different difficulties/sizes. The handwriting recognition for drawing in characters can be annoying the first time you try it, but it honestly only took me 10 minutes to get used to it and it hasn't bothered me since. This game is really excellent, considering what it is, and I'd recommend it for all ages.
I already owned this game in a non-3D format. So I was sold on it in 3D form once I upgraded my DS to a 3DS. I put off purchasing the 3DS originally because I didn't think it would be beneficial for puzzle games, which is pretty much all I own. Since the purchase, I have notice more puzzle games being upgraded to 3D form, so I am a happy puzzler.
