This 'volume two' does contain a lot of letters (in contrast to 'volume one', which reads more like a autobiography). There are not only letters written by darwin in this volume, but also a lot of letters written to Darwin. Because of this you can follow discussions between friends and fellow scientists through a number of letters. I recommend this book to anyone who is interested in Charles Darwin. This book gives insight, not only in his work, but also in his personal life.
