Spent more time fiddling with position. Thought they would be nice to have to reduce fatigue for long stretches. It fits over my foam grip inserts, but I removed it after my first ride. I suppose it would serve better with motorcycles without cruise control, but don't bother if you have this feature.
It barely stays where you set it. It’s not particularly comfortable or gives you any confidence in the throttle. It’s just ok. And honestly it’s kind of a distraction because you’re constantly nursing it’s position… I still use it once in a while on long trips and I always ask myself why I’m bothering with it.
Even with 2 of the rubber bands, this is way too big for stock Ducati throttles. I’ve tried it on two of my new Ducati’s, and it doesn’t grab. It just spins, or it grabs a little bit and the lets go. These have to be only good for after market grips, or grips that are super thick. Any sports bikes like mine, I suspect will also be too small.
I only rate it two stars because it is advertised as a universal fit, but does NOT fit a throttle with ridged grips very well. It will not turn in and out of the way if you are not using it. It is hard to drive with because it gets in your way and makes the throttle too hard to grip with gloves on. I am returning mine. This is not to say it would not be a great product for other bikes, just not my Honda Silverwing. Thanks
Works better on paper than in real life. Maybe I'm just unlucky or I have freakish hands and wrists, but this caused me more fatigue and discomfort than without. After 30 minutes my thumb went numb followed by my index finger and middle finger- the ones you need to grip the throttle and work the brake. I've never had this happen before I bought this paddle, but I spent 3 days moving my hand around trying to get the fingers to wake up so I could grip the throttle comfortably. On the last day of my road trip I took it off and rode for 2-3 hours without that numbness coming back. I tried moving it up and down the throttle, putting my hand on it in different places or at different angles to alleviate the pressure but nothing worked. I have two blisters on my right hand below the knuckles where the edge of this thing bit into my palm. I had 3 days of riding to toy with a safe place to put it but the only safe place was in my bike trunk.
It might work for some people, but I guess if you're considering this ask yourself if you really need it. I never hand hand fatigue before I bought this, but figured I would need it for a long road trip. Turns out it caused more grief than it fixed.
