Sloppy controls really destroy a great concept. You're flying dragons like in the original Warhawk for ps1 but the penchant for motion control that don't really work and a story that gets interesting and times and frustrating at others make this a pretty horrible game to try to play through.
Jeu un peu vieilli mais sympa on se prend vite au jeu légèrement répétitif, histoire un peu courte mais intéressante. Plusieurs didacticiels pour apprendre différentes méthodes pour piloter le dragon. A tester.
LAIR was a game that I had more-or-less decided not to get, based off all the bad I'd heard about the game, along with the good things I'd heard as well. But it was really cheap, 15 dollars here on Amazon, and I needed something else to get the 25 minimum for free shippping, and I'm glad for that. For 20 or less, this is a great PS3 game. It's very playable with the analog stick patch that was released a long time ago (I have no idea how the original Sixaxis only controls work). The premise is GREAT, you're a dragon-rider, so you get to fly around and shoot fireballs at your enemies, swoop down on ground forces and so on. You can also stomp around on the ground and breath fire on troops, swipe at them, etc. And one of the coolest parts of the game is when you get into an air-duel with another dragon-rider. You use a simple system with the buttons to attack and defend while you have this close-up one-on-one battle. Like I said, great concepts in the game, and they're all done fairly well. Interesting enough story, and a pretty decent looking game for how old it is in the PS3's lineup of titles. I couldn't help but think of ways the game could be even bigger and better, but I like what the game is, and as I said, if you're on the fence with this title, and can get it for 20 dollars or less, I recommend you take the plunge and get it.
Many critics bashed this game when it came out but...DO NOT LISTEN TO THEM! I have literally 200 video games, including many classics and this is one of the best in my collection. The game is very similar to the Star Wars: Rogue Squadron games for Nintendo 64 and Gamecube also by Factor 5, which are my favorite games of all time. If you're one of those Rogue Squadron fans anxious for a new RS sequel, YOU MUST PLAY THIS! The controls are great, that's right. I said the controls are good. The motion controls are very responsive and well done. I think critics like IGN wanted to make up excuses for this game being too hard for them. That's another thing, this game is difficult. Not Contra difficult but a bit harder than Rogue Squadron. If you're a hardcore gamer, it should take you a week or two to beat it. The story is the best in a game yet and the music is incredible. Overall, I would highly recommend this game to Rogue Squadron Fans and Hardcore gamers. I loved every second of this game.
I love this game! While achieving a high rank on some of the levels can prove to be a daunting task, I enjoy being able to play as a dragon rider and engage in fantastical combat. Not only do I enjoy the game play, but unveiling the story is a real treat all in itself. I recommend this for any fantasy gamer/dragon lover.
