I brought this load tester is because of the price, and after testing it out after I got it I don't regret it at all. It's easy enough to use, the instruction manual is easy to understand for lots of people. Obviously, you can't compare with the high end load tester that auto parts store carries. But with the price under $30 you can still able to get the job done, I'm very happy with the purchase
I follow Scotty Kilmer on YouTube and he did an episode on 5 inexpensive things to have for your car
This was one of them. For 25 bucks you can check your battery, alternator etc and it reads your OBDII . How could you go wrong. Tossed it in my road trip bag, stuff to fix a tire, inflater etc. Just in case I ever need it. More often than not I end up going into my bag to help a fellow driver stuck on the road. Always makes me happy to help out, especially since I know what it's like to get stuck somewhere and wish I had some do Dad to fix a small problem. A small bag, or box, keeps almost everything you need for most minor on road problems. Plus if you have to get towed somewhere, you would want an idea of what was wrong. I carry a small jumper as well. Drive safe folks
This handy little tool will save you a lot of time, stress, and money when it comes to dealing with electrical issues on your vehicle, whether its a car, truck, boat, or motorcycle.
As a mechanic, I always keep this handy in my tool bag. From checking battery charge and health to detailed information about your charging system and alternator functions, this will tell you almost instantly if you need a jump, a new battery, or your alternator has failed.
This battery tester saved me over $400 the first time I used it. A shop told me that my battery needed replacing and my particular battery is expensive. I tested it and determined it just needed to be charged but still had 90% health.
I really like this. I have noticed the battery on my pickup was getting a little sluggish but always cranked it fine. I thought it was my imagination. I used this tester on it and it showed it had less than 2/3 CCA available. The battery still showed good but wasn't near the CCA it was rated for. I was able to confirm my suspicions using this device.
I am really REALLY impressed with this little gem: it is very very intuitive to use and provides multiple test, with results quickly displayed. It retains test data for revue- as long as you don't disconnect it from its lone power supply- the battery under test. Tho lightweight, for the money it is a great value. Connectors are fairly high quality and the owners manual well written. The only questionable bit is that although it states that my battery has a >80% (almost full) charge, it still suggests charging it. No biggy, because everything else is really sweet about this device!
When I bought this battery tester at such an attractive price, I don't have a high expectation as long as it can provide me with some indication as to the health of the car battery in order to avoid being stranded on the road. Per its instruction, one needs to turn on the headlights for 10 seconds before reading. I tested it on a brand new Interstate CCA 730 battery. After fully charged the battery with a maintainer and turning on headlights for 10 seconds, this tester reads SOC at 60%. I did several subsequent readings and gradually, the SOC finalize somewhere at 80% SOC. If I test it without turning on the headlight after a full charge, it consistently reads at 98% SOC. So, that leaves you scratching your head which reading is correct. Since this one is relatively inexpensive, I'll keep it and likely buy another analog battery tester, such as the Schumacher BT-100, to double-check their accuracy for comparison. With that said, short of buying a professional grade tester, I am not certain there is a consumer battery tester that can provide an accurate reading. If there is one, I welcome your suggestions so that I can ditch this one.
gives different readings on same battery only seconds apart. bought this unit as a back up or for mobile service. I could not trust this for professional use. I have other products from konnwei with no issues. will update if performance changes or get better.

gives different readings on the same battery only seconds apart. Professional interstate battery company test showed fully charged status, but this tester readings are all over the place: from 0% to 20%. Very bad tester!!!! It is all about battery resistance, but clips are not copper (looks like steel, so it is not about battery resistance, but clips contact resistance.
Unit reads your battery and then gives you a easy to understand report on the condition of your battery. Used it on my pickup truck, 3.5 years old, said the battery was at about 85% capacity of its original capability. Indicating to me I needed to start thinking about a replacement battery soon. Very easy to use and a quality part too.
