I don't care how many times I hear people say "grand theft auto with hacking", because grand theft auto is a really fun game and so is watch dogs. And I actually prefer watch dogs over grand theft auto, other people will feel differently, but like I said, both fun do it doesn't matter

Overall, this game was fantastic. I have played the entire game through and thought it was a ton of fun. The story was pretty long. Took me a couple days to finish it. But some missions weren't easy! As a gamer, I definitely like a challenging experience. GTA 5 was way too easy for my taste. Watch_Dogs was a lot more challenging. The hacking is a lot of fun too. Really boosts the gameplay and allows the player to play however they want. Anything from creating a mess at a traffic light to lose the cops, to secretly stealing $12,000 from someone's bank
account. The selection of weapons to choose from is pretty nice also. My favorite weapon being the Desert Eagle .50 pistol. The graphics are somewhat old generation, but the fantastic gameplay really makes up for it. Overall, Watch_Dogs is an amazing experience. Another awesome game by Ubisoft.

Not the Innovative Game Promised, A Fun Something to Do

This game is fine. It looks pretty nice in the scheme of things and has some unique experiences I really enjoy. Unfortunately those unique and fun moments aren't nearly as bountiful as I would have liked. Very little in this game feels new. There are some difference between WD and other open world games like GTA that are just unforgivable. The biggest one for me is that you can't shoot while driving. You have plenty of other options that are more unique and are fun to make use of, but I hate it when it feels like you should be able to do something in a game, but can't... You are being shot at by other drivers and carry several guns on you, but you can't just shoot next to you when they're right there? Gotta get out of the car to take down the target when they leave their vehicle? Nonsense.

The story is kinda interesting, but their performances and delivery feel weak and somewhat juvenile like in Infamous so I can't say I really am interested ever. Driving is pretty dull. Most of the side missions you can choose to do are also pretty weak and not very worthwhile beyond trying to juice a little more enjoyment out of a $60 purchase.

Still, the overall quality is pretty decent there are some parts that are extremely fun in a way you could only accomplish in Watch Dogs. I would wait for the price to come down or enjoy it as a rental.

Not impressed. For all the hype surrounding this game I expected a lot more. It is just another GTA ripoff with a few cool new gimmicks. The hacking ability of the game is pretty fun/cool but not enough to make this a classic my any means. The side missions are all the same and get repetative very quickly. The driving controls are much to sensitive and feel fake. The story is so-so but was not enough to keep me interested. Oh and let me tell you nothing is more annoying then then you are driving to your next mission/location and some other player online decides they want to hack you. Once this happens you then have roughly 2 min to find that person in a 5 square mile area or they take your money, quite annoying.

Overall an interesting game, but nothing very memorable in the long run

This game is mediocre.
It's good to see some of the updated graphics, but all in all you're going to feel like you're playing an old gen game.

Some of the puzzles, can be challenging, and all in all it's a melting pot much like GTA.
You can follow main story lines, or get side tracked with side missions, and mini games.

I do like this game, but I feel like it's already been done.
I was really anticipating the release too.

I went for the buy when it was $35 so my review bares both the quality of the game, and the price I got it for.

I would feel that if someone purchased this at full price they may have a little sour taste in their mouths.

The game is fun and has a pretty good story line so far, but it is definitely not very original in terms of gameplay It is 1/3 Grand Theft Auto, 1/3 Far Cry and 1/3 Infamous. Some of the missions are very challenging to complete and often take 10-15 minutes each. It can get a little frustrating when you are nearly complete and have to repeat the entire mission over again from the beginning.

The graphics are pretty good and there was a lot of effort put into the hacked conversations you intercept from people on the street. I do like the mix of strategy and action forcing you to use the cameras and other hackable items in the environment to complete a missions beyond just going in guns blazing!

The concept of this game is really good... Hacking, I think like most hardcore gamers, is a game we've been waiting on for a really really long time. However the gameplay, or shall I say game mechanics, are completely abysmally. Now Im sure that UBIsoft and their engine has everything to do with it but explaining the gameplay difficulties are too legion so I'll stick to just the basics. Driving completely awful every car drives amd handles just about the same with the exception of the cars that "look fast" they tend to be well fast and thats kinda it. Walking and running are just as difficult the character lurches everywhich way. Oh and gunplay yeah yeah um thats um forget it. Look I gave this game three stars because of the concept alone but the game needs serious re adjustments serious, like why and the hell does the characters have one style of clothing you can buy (An Overcoat and A scarf just change the color) from a so called store. And why are the phones options so useless amd hacking so linerar see a bridge press x and hack the bridge see a face take its money by you guessed it pressing x. But dont try to use hacking as a tool to retrieve data on a suspect or locate an individual through there patterns and behavior. The tool is if it says hack press x and its done you are so far removed form the tool it seems almost useless you have the cops after you. Im sure you guys can tell I dont write reviews for games often Im all over the place but thats cause this game is only worth a discounted price not anywhere near that damn 60 bucks 30 maybe 20 I would by it in a heart beat.

I am so far only in ACT II about half way (not sure how much longer the game is). The main story was very cool and the game play was fun. There are so many side missions that I kept getting distracted. The driving/racing and online "intrusions take some getting used to, but are not too bad. Some times, even quite fun.

I could not give it 5 stars because I felt it had too much excessive unnecessary scenarios in the game. I do not mind if a mature game has some "sexual content" but prefer that it fit with the story or not be included. Gratuitous sex and violence is not my thing. At least the scenes are short and can be "skipped" through once you get to them.

Loved the concept of it, the hacking and such. However, the missions did get a bit repetitive. By the end all I could think was, "not this again". Graphics were fine, not great. Game play was pretty good, again a bit repetitive. Cars handled like...well...not cars. Character interactions could have been much more robust.

I finished the main missions, but it doesn't hold my interest enough to do all the side missions and such, so I'll never bring down the human trafficking ring and whatever else you can bring down.

Hopefully the next version (assuming there is one), will expand the game play complexity and character interactions.

It isn't that this game doesn't work, it does.
It isn't that this game was lacking features, it wasn't.
It isn't that this game was the worst game I've ever played, it wasn't.

I personally did not like the game. The mechanics of the controls seemed rather clunky to me. The novelty of the game wore off extremely fast for me. Even the jumping into other players single player games to attempt to hack them. I just don't see me playing this game very much and instead of sitting on the shelf most likely to never be played again. I am selling my copy while it still has some value and taking the $20 loss.
