I wanted to review game after playing for a while and can honestly say the nemesis system is much better. Like most open world games today there is so much to do and explore on a huge map. I was very pleased with game and had no problems with it.
Played this after the loot boxes etc were taken out so never had an issue with these, but this is still a flawed masterpiece. Combat, movement, skills, main parts of nemisis system fantastic. However conquests are really boring and there is too much busy work. Overstays it's welcome. Such a shame could have been my favourite game ever. Hope they make another in the series to capture the true potential.
I was a big fan of the initial game in the series (Middle Earth: SOM). Unfortunately this game does not live up to its predecessor. The open world feels bland and repetitive, while the Nemesis system remains precisely the same. You would expect the devs to improve upon their best feature rather than rest on their laurels.
The endgame is a massive grind that pushes you to buy add-ons to get the best stuff and progress quickly.
Get this is it's £5 or free. Otherwise it's not worth your time.
I loved the 1st game 3 years ago and this game is not only a well made and well told sequel but it takes Everything from the 1st title and expands on it. After playing this for only an hour I went straight into my PSN plus account and bought the season pass and the expansions are just as good. 6 weeks of playing and I still need 5 trophies for the Platinum and I’ve still got 2 expansion games to play afterward so for £17 the money was well worth spending plus the £20 for the season pass is money well spent if you want the full experience. See IGN online for the review
If you like shadow of mordor and you love lord of the rings... Then look no further. This game is beautiful. From the game play to the graphics. I adore this. And for any female gamers out there ... try try try!!!
Awesome game. If you liked Shadow of Mordor, it's the same...only bigger and better. Don't pay attention to the loot box nonsense. I've been playing this for ages now, and not spent a penny. If you want to pay for loot boxes, good on you. But you don't HAVE to, to finish, or even enjoy the game. If you're more patient than me, wait for the GOTY edition, as it'll be fantastic.
Items arrived in different packing stating that game has arabic subtitles, packing also states game is not for sale/resale outside of north Africa and the middle East so unsure how I received this unit in the UK. Thankfully the first option upon installing/updating allowed me to set everything back to English. Game seems fun only a couple of hours in so far though.
Having completed the previous game, i looked forward to playing this one. Enjoyed it the begin with. Although a few changes from original, it is overall very similar. I enjoyed the first game so this wasn't a huge problem for me. However some of the bugs, like spy issue with an Overlord and fight pits with CPU vs CPU, ended up being to big an issue for me to go to the end of the game. Completed most of it though, so got my money's worth. If you liked original, buy this. docked 2 stars due to the 2 main bugs, and also the repetitive nature needed to be able to complete the game gets a bit dull.
