I love this game. I know some say that graphics aren't as good as some games, but for me, the feel and gameplay are amazing, and coming from a wii console, the graphics looks amazing to me too. Not really into the whole car customisation thing, just want an arcade style plug and play - does that well. Still loads to learn to perfect lines and braking and to learn tracks.
I Remember playing Colin Macrae's rally more than 10 years ago and loving that - this has all of that and more. Next stop is a decent steering wheel and pedals...
This is OK if your not expecting a proper rally game. First part is the training school. This you have to stay in the green line etc etc. I've played tons of rally games and we all know we stick to track and at times see where you can cut track and improve times but this you have to drive like your driving miss daisy in school mode. Once you hit the career it picks up but the screen tearing is the worse and I hope the development team patch it but if this game is cheap then go ahead but be prepared for letdown 😢
In general game ok but main reason I bought it is 'hot seat' mode I played with my flatmate on WRC4 but unfortunately WRC5 has this mode very poor. Namely there is no option to play in 'hot seat' mode whole championship like it was in WRC4 and older versions, only single satges to choose and only real players are on. No virtual drivers in competiton wich makes whole fun rather boring. For one player I rate game for four stars but for multiplayer only two. In my case - DISSAPOINTED.
The last time I played WRC was back on the PS2 when Evolution Studios (Motorstorm,Driveclub) were behind it. I never continued with the series after they passed it on, having a craving to play a Rally game I'm back with the series again. The Graphics are solid with a decent frame rate, and the online experience runs nice and smooth. Definitely Give this a go 🙂
Comparing this to how other racing games and even shooting games have evolved from console to console tis is a very poor game in my opinion! Graphics are great! Driving gameplay itself is good but very unrealistic road conditions when you compare to Dirt 2 IMO. Havent played online yet.
