I bought these clips to replace the ones that were on the passenger sliding door panels of my 2013 Mazda 5. Even though Amazon claims that these clips work with my car, it is not exactly correct. The clips do insert into the door panel and then snap into the sheet metal. However, the geometry is not all like OEM. The gap between the outer most (the thickest) circle, the one that is inserted into the door panel is too large. The fit into the door panel is not snug enough. I've used my calipers to measure a brand new OEM clip and this GOOACC clip has a much larger gap. The diameter of the stem that goes into sheet metal is also smaller than OEM, which makes the fit to the bare metal looser. Both of those attributes result in a door panel that moves whenever the car accelerates or decelerates and produces a very audible creaking noise. It is especially very annoying in stop and go traffic. To make a long story short, these clips are not ideal replacement to OEM on this Mazda.
They work, but very low quality. I have a 98 Wrangler, so several of the old clips needed replacement, especially since I couldn't open the door (reason why I have to take off the door panel) so I basically had to rip the door panel out. Anyway, I had to take to door panel off a second time to make some adjustments, and EVERY new clip broke! So glad I have 50 of em, I will have to do the other door eventually to replace the loose outside door handle but man wish they were a little harder plastic...
So the good is ... they fit my 2000 XJ and they're cheap.... Bad is they tend to break when pulling the panel off.. I had to pull a panel off after putting these on, and about 1/3 of them broke... Not really a big deal since you get 50 of them for five bucks.. just consider them "one time use" and remember where you stashed the rest of them for next time you need to pull a panel off..
Well I ordered the size for my van when I ordered the window motor, but they were the wrong size (to small). It was kind of a bummer as I was in the middle of changing out a window motor. They did provide a 100% refund though.
Quality-wise, the clips seem fairly well made. However, they did not fit the application (`07 Chrysler T & C minivan) that they claimed to. The head sizes seem to be about right, but the pointy "clip" ends are about two-thirds the diameter of what they should be. Therefore entirely useless to reattach the door panel(s) to the frame.
UPDATED REVIEW: I knocked off two stars. I originally bought these to replace a few factory clips that were broken. Since using these I've had to remove the door panel a couple more times for various things. These broke every time upon removal, while the remaining 20-year-old factory clips held up. And I do mean they broken every single time. Let's just say that you'll be glad that this is a package of 50. Make sure to save the unused one, you'll need them sooner or later.
For just installing and holding on the panel though, they work fine. It's the removal that gets you.
--------ORIGINAL REVIEW---------- They're pretty much exactly what you expect them to be. Works fine for my purposes (replacing rotted ones on a car door panel).
