Welp, I wanted a Dynasty Warriors style game with characters from the Fate universe and I certainly got one. Surprisingly challenging, lots of unlocks, and a story that ended up being more interesting than I expected. I suppose the fact that it's Japanese only might annoy some people but I love it. There's some notable VA's working on this and they even managed to get Ayako Kawasumi (Saber) and Junichi Suwabe (Archer) to come in and do their characters despite this being a weird videogame spin off. I'm having a lot of fun with this one.
That said, it you're not a Typemoon fan and/or you're not into Dynasty Warriors style games, you might want to look somewhere else. I'm not sure how much my love for the Fate material is pushing my bias and contributing to my enjoyment of this game.
As I am only 1/3 the way thru this game, the story is wonderful. It is an action JRPG with brawler dungeon crawling feel, I love this. The game play is great no lag and looks HD (compared to other games in it's class even though it's still VITA). I do not get a lot of slow down when ganged up on in this game which trying to execute a combo like Akiba's Trip. The game mechanic are simple yet well done. I bought this on a pre-order whim when I saw the trailer and I am glad I did!
Fun, simple and a perfect blend between the genres of fantasy and sci-fi. You don't need to have played any prior games to enjoy this story(many things are explained from prior events and references). Additional plus is this title works great on the PS vita tv. Overall very happy with purchase and like where this is taking the Fate series.
